Am I STRESSED?

Stress is a physical, chemical, or emotional factor that causes tension of the mind or body and may contribute to the onset of certain diseases. Symptoms are as follows: migraine, increased heart rate, a rise in blood pressure, muscular tension, irritability and depression.

Examine and check out yourself. Listed below are the early warning signs of burnout. Better recognize it from the start rather than be left unaware, until it becomes more serious.

  1. Chronic fatigue - exhaustion, tiredness, a sense of being physically run down
  2. Anger at those making demands
  3. Self-criticism for putting up with the demands
  4. Cynicism, negativity, and irritability
  5. A sense of being besieged
  6. Exploding easily at seemingly inconsequential things
  7. Frequent headaches and gastrointestinal disturbances
  8. Weight loss or gain
  9. Sleeplessness and depression
  10. Shortness of breath
  11. Suspiciousness
  12. Feelings of helplessness
  13. Increased degree of risk taking

If you are experiencing one or more of the above mentioned signs, ACT on it! Better do something to release the negative forces within you.

There is only one reason for stress/burnout. It is LACK of FAITH! With GOD in your heart, there is space left for stress. Life can be happier and fulfilling if we remember this simple thought, “We can’t have it all, but GOD gives all that we need.” Stay happy! No one else can help you but yourself. Throw all your worries to the wind and let them fly to GOD. In the end, it is HE alone who guides the wind to breeze joy and love back to you.

Never let stress cover your life. Remember: You are too blessed to be stressed!

Traitor Spices

Problems come to help us grow. It teaches us to be strong and to daringly face the every day’s surprises. “We always want the sunshine but there should always be rain.” Nice one! Meaningful, but still, it’s so hard to accept that it’s for a reason.

These are all spices of life, and without such, life is BORING! However, it doesn’t come easy. It enters your life unexpectedly, on times you’re not ready. And it doesn’t have considerations; it sinks in within and squeezes your soul as if sufferings are forever. Traitor spices! It doesn’t sound good! But, believe me… You need them! And be thankful you’ve been given with such.

Let go of worries, live your life in the fullest. After all, worries just ruin your life. It distracts you from being happy and fulfilled. Why worry if GOD is with you? Trust HIM and you’ll be in peace.

“Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it’s called the present.” A very interesting line by the tortoise Master Oogway from the movie, “Kung Fu Panda,” that had struck my mind. It is a 2008 animated film about a bungling panda who aspires to be a kung fu warrior. Po was inspired by the tortoise and had actually believed in himself and endears himself with his tenacity, good cooking and sense of humor. What is important is that he’d learn to believe in himself and that nothing is impossible with determination. He’d actually wisely utilized GOD’s gift, which includes his talents, and had followed his dreams.

Have faith in yourself! Be thankful of all the blessings, and be contented of what you have. You may never know, what you actually acquire is something that others really wish and hope for. Trust HIM, He knows what’s best for you.

Praise HIM! You’re blessed!

GOD is good, all the time...

Trials…

Pains…

Burdens…

Anxieties…

Miseries…

These all comes to us for reasons. We may not know it, but we have to understand it. I know how hard it is, for I can’t deny the fact that during those times I feel weak. I got so tired, troubled, and made me think endlessly. Thinking about everything… Full of questions, full of emotions… I can’t help but cry!

But, this is wrong and will do no good. Trusting GOD in everything will make us strong. HE is the only one who could give peace and enlightenment on our hearts. All we have to do is to let HIM conquer our lives, and we’ll undeniably be unloaded with whatever worries we’re carrying.

Give yourself a break! Don’t let your life be messed up with things without value. Freshen up your face, cleanse your soul, clear up your mind, and let love embrace your heart. GOD loves you! And HE’ll never bring you down. Trust HIM!

Have faith.
